| Hunters Creek has approximately 1,430 homes. Most of the homes were built in the 1960's and there are many homes now being torn down and replaced with beautiful new custom homes. The city has almost 100 different subdivisions. Lot sizes usually start around one-half acre as required by a city ordinance. Children in Hunters Creek attend schools in Spring Branch I.S.D. as well as private schools in the area. Police services for the city of Hunters Creek Village are provided by Memorial Villages Police Department located at 11981 Memorial Drive (shared with Piney Point and Bunker Hill Village). The City of Hunters Creek Village is served by the Village Fire Department located at 901 Corbindale (shared with Piney Point Village, Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig Village, Hilshire Village and Spring Valley). The fire department also provides ambulance services.
The city of Hunters Creek Village was incorporated in December 1954. The 1990 Census reported 3,954 residents in Hunters Creek Village and information from the city of Hunters Creek web site lists the current population to be 4,525.
